The weather station is located 2,000 ft. southeast of the North Bossier Tennis Center.  To visit the Tennis Center click one the above logos.  The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro 2 Integrated Sensor Suite with a Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield.  The station is a contributor to the Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP),  a private-public partnership with three main goals: 1) to collect weather data contributed by citizens; 2) to make these data available for weather services and homeland security; and 3) to provide feedback to the data contributors so that they have the tools to check and improve their data quality.  This Station CWOP ID is CW6029and became operational on May 25, 2006.
